Sales Engineer

Shimento is looking for a Sales Engineer who will be responsible to promote the sale of the company’s services and to provide sales support.
Job Responsibilities

·       Work directly with technology leaders to support their engineering projects and/or technical resource needs. Take responsibility for the up selling/promoting and management of company’s clients. Work and confer with company’s clients, to define, establish and understand client business and technical requirements and provide sales and technical support and expertise.

·       Identify, drive, and optimize the revenue flow from new business opportunities by leveraging company’s expertise. Plan, modify and/or customize company’s product/services to meet client’s needs as well as future market requirements.

·       Perform sales reviews, evangelize new clients for company, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of any challenges at existing client and business. Perform strategic business development activities and/or processes. Identifying and developing strategic partnerships and corporate relationships to meet company’s expectations and goals and client’s development requirements. 

·       Serve as the primary technical representative of company with all outside partners. Serve as a liaison with clients regarding new initiative launches and technology consulting opportunities. Improve company offerings by providing customer’s feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Operations and Sourcing.

·       Perform primary research, industry, market and competitive analysis, customer needs, assessment, etc. Keep informed and up to date on industry news, trends, products, services and competitors, relevant information in regards to legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.

·       Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.

·       Report on sales figures internally and take ownership with the leader of the vertical. Work directly with technology leaders to support their engineering projects and/or technical resource needs.

·       Document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers and suppliers.

·       Guarantee fulfillment of client’s resource needs (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary guidance.

·       Analyze and optimize the revenue flow of existing partners. Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.

·       Provide market updates and ensure that company’s clients are satisfied with their ROI. Provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.

·       Support many top technology companies building next generation communications, networking, social media services, financial software, cloud computing, semiconductors and IT services, etc.


·       Masters degree is required, preferably MBA

·       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.

·       Minimum 2-4 years of work experience
